Y42
German company Y42 aims to solve the problems arising from costly, compartmentalized modern data stacks, which many companies struggle to manage.
The founders of Y42 don't see data as a technical problem, but rather as a business problem. Their tool can turn any company into a data company, and any employee into a data analyst, by building the first scalable data platform that can be used by everyone in the company, not just the experts.
Hung Dang founded the Berlin-based company in 2020 after realizing during his professional experiences in start-ups and consulting firms that organizations were multiplying the problems associated with data processing. He believes that "data isn't a technical problem, it's a business problem. Our platform can turn any company into a data company, and any person into a data analyst. While the main data flow challenges of the modern data stack - data movement, manipulation and visualization - are being solved, we can already see that the next wave of innovation will occur around metadata, with elements such as cataloging, lineage, orchestration, quality control, auditing and access control. As an end-to-end solution, we have a clear advantage for this next generation of products.
Thecompany offers its services to numerous digital companies with annual sales of between €100,000 and €100 million in Europe and North America.
