Established in 2007 in Spain, Windar started out as a supplier to Siemens Gamesa, before becoming a world leader in the production of towers for the onshore wind power market. With 10 production sites in Spain, India, Mexico and Brazil, the company is located close to its customers, helping to minimize transport costs.
In a move to expand into the offshore wind energy market, Windar has diversified its activities, broadening its offering to include a range of components used in the manufacture of wind turbines, notably the floating structures supporting the turbines.
