Visma, one of Europe's leading cloud software providers, has acquired Meebook, the most widely used digital learning platform in Danish elementary school. Visma supplies software to the education sector in Norway, Sweden and Finland. The addition of Meebook will strengthen Visma's position in the Nordic countries in general, and form an important part of the Group's overall offering for the Danish education sector.

The solution developed by Meebook is currently being implemented in 45 Danish municipalities, making daily life easier for teachers, pupils and parents. "It contributes to facilitating and strengthening the work of teachers and collaboration between Danish educational establishments. Meebook is tailored to Danish conditions and requirements, but the platform is a very scalable product," said Jesper Rømer, Meebook's managing director and co-founder.
Visma has already acquired 188 companies offering cloud-based software solutions for small, medium and large companies, as well as for the public sector. Its ecosystem includes software that transforms and simplifies the daily lives of accounting firms and their clients. The company is the accounting cloud leader in Europe and Latin America, with over 1.8 million customers.
Mebook was founded in 2011 by Jesper Rømer and Søren Adolph, both trained teachers. Their mission was to develop a digital teaching tool focused on learning and didactics, rather than IT and technology. That's why Meebook was created in close collaboration with Danish teachers and municipalities.
Meebook will remain an independent company within Visma, with Jesper Rømer as Managing Director and Søren Adolph as Director of Product Development.
