Introducing Insight Partners

Dimitri Bernard: Insight Partners was founded in 1995, and here we are working on the Insight Partners XIII fund, and therefore on the 13ᵉgeneration of funds that have made Insight so successful. As you are no doubt aware, one of Altaroc's primary support criteria, which you will systematically find in our selections, is management companies with a track record of at least 20 years. So here, we're already validating an important criterion, since we've been in business for 30 years. Another criterion, or at least a strong conviction that we have at Altaroc, is sector specialization. And I think that what really sets Insight apart from other private equity funds is its exclusive specialization in software. And always has been. The team has a track record of over 750 software investments worldwide. And it's extremely rare to find players with so much international investment experience in a single sector over such a long period of time. For example, Insight has supported iconic companies such as Twitter and Docusign before their IPOs. Another very characteristic feature of Insight is the teams' preoccupation with hypergrowth, so here we have a predominantly Growth angle. More concretely, the companies supported by Insight Partners Partners most often achieve annual sales growth in excess of 80%. And it's this very strong operational growth that will contribute to the performance of the portfolios, much more than the use of leverage, for example. And perhaps one last very strong element at Insight is its sourcing capabilities. Insight has a team of 70 people who specialize solely in identifying and approaching target companies. This team is there to manage the flow of opportunities, and prepare the deployment of funds in companies.
