Choco
Franco-German unicorn Choco is firmly committed to the fight against food waste. By simplifying order management for restaurants, it currently works with 15,000 chefs and 10,000 suppliers, processing over 100,000 orders every month.
Founded by Grégoire Ambroselli, Daniel Khachab and Julian Hammer, Choco responds to an obvious need: restaurant owners, when placing orders by telephone, e-mail or SMS, are prone to information loss, resulting in an average of 28% food waste. To remedy this, a common platform for restaurateurs and suppliers was set up, enabling easy tracking and management of stocks.
In a French food industry market estimated at 90 billion euros, digitalization is still in its infancy, offering considerable growth potential for players like Choco. Grégoire Ambroselli points out, "We operate at the heart of the agri-food chain, offering unrivalled transparency and efficiency thanks to the functionalities of our platform."
The Choco app, acclaimed by users, is emerging as a major player in the reinvention of the food supply chain, in line with the growing imperatives of sustainable development.
Although the application is free, Choco has developed a fee-based service enabling direct integration of suppliers' orders into their ERP, simplifying their ordering process.
