In line with this growth dynamic, Septeo, a company listed on Vintage Altaroc Odyssey 2022, announces the acquisition of Ymag, a well-known software publisher in the training sector. This operation marks a strategic step in Septeo's development, with the creation of a dedicated Education division.
The creation of an Education division to address a new market
This acquisition confirms Septeo's ambition to become a key player in the training sector. Founded in Dijon in 1979, Ymag is one of France's leading providers of software solutions for training organizations and apprentice training centers. With 156 employees and sales of 21.7 million euros in 2023-2024, Ymag brings Septeo recognized expertise and a solid customer portfolio.
The new Education division, headed by Arnaud Guillaume, now brings together the teams from Ymag and Dendreo, another major player in training management software. This division, which employs 200 people and generates sales of almost 30 million euros, supports some 4,000 training organizations and centers.
According to Septeo CEO Hugues Galambrun, this initiative reflects the group's ambitious vision: "The acquisition of Ymag and the creation of the Education division mark an important step in our ambition to become one of Europe's leading software publishers. We are proud to be able to offer our expertise to the training sector, which is essential in a constantly changing world.
A stronger position in the innovation market
With this operation, Septeo consolidates its presence in the software sector while diversifying its activities. In addition to integrating innovative solutions such as artificial intelligence via the "BRAIN" program, the group is focusing on data security and confidentiality. This positioning is part of a broader strategy, recognized by analysts: Septeo ranks among the top 10 French software publishers in the Numeum and E&Y rankings.
The creation of the Education division symbolizes a new era for Septeo, which continues to innovate while broadening its impact with professionals in key sectors such as law, real estate and now training.
