80 Acres Farms joins forces with Siemens to integrate even more technological innovations and benefit from the German giant's artificial intelligence, automation and energy performance improvement tools. 80 Acres Farms has developed a system of vertical farms that run on 100% renewable energy and consume 97% less water than a traditional farm. After starting out with five Ohio-based sites, 80 Acres Farms plans to open new vertical farms in Kentucky and Georgia in the near future, as well as R&D centers in Arkansas and the Netherlands.
