Nordic Capitala long-standing player in the Swedish private equity market, has an impressive track record since its foundation in 1989. Initially specializing in carve-outs, the firm has capitalized on Sweden's economic dynamism to become a European leader in private equity. The figures speak for themselves: 12 funds raised and a total of over 25 billion euros invested in 145 companies. Today, the company manages €31 billion and operates through 10 offices on 3 continents, employing 230 people. As Klas Tikkanen explains, Nordic Capital specializes in four sectors: healthcare, technology and payments, financial services and business services. The manager is also a pioneer in ESG criteria, having trained 1,200 professionals in this field to date.
