Apax MidMarket X, in which Altaroc Odyssey 2021 is invested, announced on July 19, 2022 that it had reached a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in Opteven, a European leader in mechanical breakdown cover, assistance and vehicle maintenance insurance products and services.
Founded in 1985 and based in France, Opteven occupies a dominant position in Europe, with a strong presence in 5 countries: France, Germany, Spain, Italy and the UK. In less than 4 years, the number of employees has more than doubled to 850, and Opteven has achieved sales of 260 million euros in 2021, over 30% of which abroad.
With the support of theApax teams, the Opteven group aims to accelerate its international development, in particular through continued external growth, and to strengthen its position as European leader.
