A hybrid solution for enhanced connectivity and digital transformation
The hybrid solution proposed by Marlink, a company present in the Vintage Altaroc Odyssey 2021, includes its high-capacity, low-latency global VSAT network integrated with the Starlink solution, as well as a backup MSS system. This configuration will enable Transpetro to benefit from enhanced services such as software-defined application management, WiFi, VoIP and secure access for shipboard crew.
In addition, the management of these services will be simplified thanks to Marlink's XChange platform, which will enable Transpetro to monitor and manage its entire network via a dedicated customer portal. Critical data exchanged between ships and Transpetro headquarters will be routed securely via a virtual private network. Deployment of this solution is scheduled for completion by the first quarter of 2025.
A new stage in Marlink's expansion in South America
The integrated solution will enable Transpetro to take full advantage of digital capabilities such as trip optimization, remote maintenance tools and online training resources. In response to the growing demand for managed and integrated connectivity solutions, Marlink is also strengthening its local teams in Brazil to better support its customers, with the creation of a dedicated support team and the addition of administrative staff to manage financial operations.
This collaboration marks a key step in Marlink's strategic development, as we continue to facilitate the digital transformation of players in the maritime and energy sectors in South America.
