Specializing in advanced driver assistance systems, the Israeli unicorn Mobileye has just signed a partnership agreement with Polestar, the Swedish manufacturer of electric cars renowned for their high performance.
Valued at $17 billion, Mobileye, which is present in the Vintage Altaroc Odyssey 2021, will bring its "Chauffeur on Board" autonomous driving technology to the next Polestar 4 SUV model, due to go on sale in Europe in 2024.
" When launched in the next few years, Chauffeur should offer autonomous point-to-point driving on freeways, as well as automated point-to-point driving in other environments ," announces the Swedish automaker.
Mobileye's "Driver on Board " technology is based on cameras around the car, with the integration of radar and lidar sensors.
Mobileye already works with some of the world's most prestigious automotive brands, from Bentley to Porsche to BMW.
