Featured in Vintage Altaroc Odyssey 2021, Spendesk and EcoVadis are now the 26th and 27th French unicorns respectively. This month, they were selected to join the French government's French Tech Next 40 program, dedicated to the best-performing French companies with the potential to become world-class leaders.
In June 2024, Marina Ferrari, the French Secretary of State for the Digital Sector, announced the 5th promotion of the French Tech Next40. She highlighted the strong growth in revenues generated by the winning companies, as well as the ever-increasing presence of GreenTech companies.
A few months ago, Spendesk had just completed the acquisition of Okko, a French company specializing in purchasing management. This merger had positioned the company as the first European solution to fully integrate purchasing and expense management for SMEs and ETIs.
Founded in 2016, and based in Paris, Spendesk enables companies to easily control their costs, gain full visibility of their expenses and save precious time through integrated automation. It operates mainly in France, the United States and Germany. It offers a complete solution including business cards, bill payment, budgeting, reporting and more.
Since its creation in 2007, EcoVadis has become the world's largest and most trusted sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) rating agency, creating a global network of over 130,000 rated companies.
For one year, both companies will benefit from support tailored to their development challenges in France and abroad.
Spendesk and EcoVadis will be tasked with identifying their priority issues, activating the appropriate service offering and liaising with the French Tech Correspondents network. They will also have access to initiatives designed to raise their profile, both in France and internationally. Their presence at events, the promotion of the French Tech Next 40 in the media, their presence in international delegations, thanks to the network of French Tech Capitals and Communities, will reinforce their visibility.
Above all, the winners have access to Mission French Tech events on various issues of financing, recruitment, international deployment, ecological transition, external growth, parity, inclusion and diversity.
Primarily, the Mission French Tech responds, thanks to a legal desk, to needs concerning regulatory and normative issues; program partners (Agence de l'innovation en santé, INPI, CNIL, etc.) will also be called upon. Last but not least, this network brings together 60 administrations and public services partners of Mission French Tech, who have mobilized to contribute to the success of the companies supported by the Mission (Bpifrance, Business France, UGAP, Banque de France, Urssaf, AFNOR, DGFIP, etc).
