Valued at 19 billion euros and featured in Vintage Altaroc Odyssey 2023, Visma is a software and IT solutions provider for businesses and the public sector in Europe. It has just completed the acquisition of InvoiceXpress, a Lisbon-based software company providing e-invoicing solutions for its 12,000 customers.
In addition to its core invoicing offering, the cloud-based platform also provides tax management and VAT reporting.
For Visma, Europe's leading supplier of mission-critical software, the transaction will further expand the group's presence in Portugal, following its 2023 acquisition of e-invoicing provider Moloni.
"With Visma's considerable experience in automating key business processes such as accounting, payroll and invoicing, our ambition is to be a trusted provider of high-quality, user-friendly software that helps companies and individuals reap the many benefits of digitization," explains Alicia Halaas, Business Area Manager for the small business segment at Visma.
Iberian growth continues
In Portugal, Visma is already present via Moloni and HR software provider Nmbrs, which has a development hub with 35 employees in Lisbon. Visma has also opened a new technology center in Porto in April 2022, with the aim of reaching 200 employees by 2025.
"Visma Tech Portugal" now serves as one of Visma's main competence centers, focusing on the development of security, AI and product design using a wide range of technologies.
In neighboring Spain, the Group has acquired four providers of SaaS solutions for accounting, tax and time management since 2021, namely Holded, Declarando, Woffu and Quaderno.
Following the acquisition of InvoiceXpress, Visma retains strong growth ambitions in the Iberian enterprise software market.
Visma generates annual recurring sales of over 2 billion euros, and has 1.5 million customers in over 20 countries in Europe and Latin America.
