Apax X LP, in which Altaroc Odyssey 2021 is invested, announced on June 2, 2022 that it had entered into a definitive agreement to acquire EcoOnline, a European leader in the EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) SaaS market. This Euronext-listed company aims to create safer, more sustainable workplaces while ensuring environmental compliance and sustainability.
Founded in 2000 and based in Norway, EcoOnline occupies a strong position in the Nordic countries, with a growing presence in the UK, Ireland and the USA. The company currently serves over 7,000 customers in almost every sector.
The Apax funds have considerable experience of the EHS software market, having followed the sector for several years and recently acquired Alcumus, a world leader in EHS risk management and compliance technology solutions.
The EHS market is experiencing significant growth, driven by increasingly complex regulatory pressures, rising expectations in terms of EHS, ESG and sustainability, increased digitalization and ever more demanding commercial requirements.
